Clear Spring carnival kicks off Monday

The carnival is back. Get ready for the rides.

The Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Co. is gearing up for its annual weeklong carnival Monday, July 31, through Saturday, Aug. 5, at the carnival grounds off South Martin Street.

One ticket gets you unlimited rides for the day, organizers said. Otherwise, admission is free. Food, amusement rides and live music will be a part of the carnival from 6 to 11 p.m. each day.

Ride tickets are $12 in advance ($14 at the gate) and are on sale at the Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Co. For a list of other ticket vendors, call the fire company at 301-842-3775.

Live music will be played at 7:30 and 10 p.m. daily.

· Monday - Ronnie McDowell

· Tuesday - The Lausur Bros.

· Wednesday - W.T. Flemming & No Fences

· Thursday - Bobby Osborne

· Friday - Mo Bandy

· Saturday - Tommy Cash
