HCC set to host Career Night

Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education will host a free Career Night open house on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the HCC Valley Center.

Information will be available between 4 and 7 p.m.

The focus will be on careers that take less than one year of course work to complete.

Many of these courses are offered in the evenings and weekends so participants can keep their current jobs while retraining.

During Career Night, coordinators and instructors will be available to answer questions on such courses as real estate licensing in Maryland and West Virginia, real estate appraisal training, mortgage loan officer training, veterinary assistant training and lead paint supervisor.

Also, insurance licensing, asbestos operations and maintenance certification, home improvement exam prep, home inspector training, notary public training, sign language training, certified bookkeeper training and bartending; child care senior staff and group leader training, personal trainer certification, A+ PC technician, Microsoft certified system administrator, Cisco certified network associate, Microsoft Office seminars, dental assistant program, real estate investing, EKG technician and pharmacy technician.
