Groundbreaking held for 1st National Bank of Greencastle branch

ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - The First National Bank of Greencastle held a groundbreaking ceremony for its newest branch at 11050 Buchanan Trail East near Waynesboro, Pa., on July 13.

"We are pleased that construction is under way for our Rouzerville office. We look forward to providing a convenient location to the Rouzerville business community and areas east of Waynesboro," said Jeff Shank, CEO and president of The First National Bank of Greencastle. "We hope to open the branch during the fourth quarter of 2006."

The one story brick office will offer full-service banking along with drive-up and ATM services.

The First National Bank of Greencastle is the oldest independent bank in Franklin County. Established in 1864, the bank has 10 branch offices in Franklin County, Pa., and Washington County.

Tower Bancorp Inc., the bank's parent company, acquired The First National Bank of McConnellsburg, Pa., and its five branch locations in June.
