BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Keese Leslie Bare, whose remains were found near a Potomac River campsite in April 2006, was living in Berkeley Springs at the time of his death, Morgan County Sheriff's Department chief deputy said Thursday.

Deputy Timothy Stapleton said Bare's family did not live in Berkeley Springs and he would not say where the family lives.

He said forensic results are still pending, and he did not know when information would be available.

Stapleton said, "It is a working case and no information can be released at this time."

Bare, 27, had been missing since September 2004, when he disappeared. Investigators believe Bare was murdered Sept. 2 or 3, 2004.

The body was burned to cover up the murder, the sheriff's department said.
