Hagerstown man faces drug charges

A Hagerstown man faces controlled substance manufacturing and distribution charges after allegedly selling cocaine to a police informant, according to court documents.

Jabar Johnel Gilliam, 23, of 142 North Avenue, was charged with one felony count of manufacturing and distributing narcotics and two felony counts of possession with intent to distribute a narcotic.

Gilliam met with the police informant outside Southside Bowl at 17325 Virginia Ave. on July 13 at about 9 p.m., according to court documents.

Using money provided by the Washington County Narcotics Task Force, the police informant paid $160 for crack cocaine, according to court documents.
