'Confessions' is naughty but nice

If you're looking for a book for the beach or you're just plain bored, this is the book for you. It's a great summer reading. "Confessions of a Hollywood Star" by Dyan Sheldon is a sequel to Sheldon's New York Times best-seller "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen."

The story begins when main character Lola and her best friend Ella try to get a part in a movie being shot in their town. Lola lied to her nemesis, Carla Santini, that she had a part. Then, Lola finds that Carla's house is the sight for filming part of the movie. Lola schemes to get into the movie somehow, some way.

This book is filled with laughs and style insights based on the experiences of the author. You will be cheering Lola and Ella as they come up with crazy schemes to be in the movie.

I definitely recommend "Confessions of a Hollywood Star," plus it's an easy read at only 202 pages.
