A Williamsport man who allegedly told his girlfriend he would beat a rape charge "just like the last time" after he allegedly assaulted her was ordered held without bail Thursday during a Washington County District Court hearing.

Christopher Michael Ridenour, 33, of 10701 Bower Ave. in Williamsport, was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, malicious destruction of property, second-degree rape, second-degree assault and false imprisonment, according to charging documents.

Ridenour allegedly pulled his girlfriend from her car into his house June 14 during an argument. When she tried to get back to her car, Ridenour allegedly pushed her down, injuring her knee, according to charging documents.

Ridenour then allegedly choked the woman after telling her to go to bed, and she told police she passed out briefly when he allegedly covered her mouth and nose with his hands, according to charging documents. Ridenour then allegedly raped the woman, telling her "there, now you can go cry rape, but that's OK because I will get on the stand and make you look like a fool, and I'll beat it just like the last time," according to charging documents.
