Reunion

The Hagerstown High School Class of 1939 held its 67th anniversary reunion May 20 with a luncheon at Always Ron's on Burhans Boulevard.

Following a period of socializing, Dr. Richard A. Young presided and welcomed those present.

The Class of 1939 had 314 graduates, and 42 were present at the annual reunion.

John Hamburg gave the invocation, and explained why some members were unable to attend. A program was presented by Frank and Susanne Woodring, editors of the Cracker Barrel, showing scenes of Washington County and surrounding areas.

Virginia Leiter and Richard Long entertained the group with several readings.

Members of the reunion committee were Dr. Richard Young, chairman, and Alice Hessler, John Hamburg, Virginia Leiter and Richard Long.
