Army National Guard Sgt. Shaun Michael Rogers of Shippensburg, Pa., son of Karen D. Grosh of Clear Spring, served as a member of Task Force Maryland and was deployed to San Diego County, Calif., to conduct medical/clinical support services to benefit seven Native American Indian tribes. Rogers is a member of the Maryland Army National Guard, assigned to the 729th Brigade Support Battalion, Reisterstown.

National Guard members practiced and performed critical services to the community and helped clear out a backlog of patient medical appointments. They doubled the capacity of care and treatment to patients at the area community clinic.

Rogers, a 1997 graduate of Williamsport High School, is an all-wheel mechanic with nine years of military service.




Christopher L. Nave, son of Rodney and Cheryl Nave of Williamsport, recently was promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

Nave is stationed at Andrews Air Force Base and assigned to the presidential hangar.

Nave, his wife and daughter reside in Williamsport.
