I'll always see your face
And that smile that was always placed upon it.
I'll always feel your hand,
The one that used to hold mine in it.

I'm not sure what happened.
But now I am all alone.
I'm trying to figure out why.
I can't understand why you're gone

Why did you have to go?
And why did God need you more than me?
Why didn't I see this coming?
Why didn't I know?

It seems like just yesterday
We were laughing and having fun.
But now you are in heaven -
I see you when I look at the sun.

You're the moon I see before sleep.
And the sun I see in the morning.
You're that bird I see in the sky -
There in the clouds you are soaring.

I don't have a reason why you're gone,
Yet this I know for sure.
No matter where I go or what I do,
I will never forget you.
