Graham-Gray second at Spirit of Gettysburg 5K

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Susan Graham-Gray, 38, of Greencastle, Pa., was the women's runner-up at the 16th annual Spirit of Gettysburg 5K in 17:45.

James Buchanan graduate Dan Helfrick, 22, of Shippensburg, Pa., placed fifth in the men's division in 15:31. South Hagerstown graduate Laura Nelson, 40, of Woodstock, Va., was the women's Masters champ in 19:13.

Several Tri-State runners won age-group awards. They included: Jacob Wise, 13, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., (21:30); Jim Becker, 64, of Greencastle (20:30); Laurie Jones, 14, of Chambersburg (21:13); Samantha Jones, 19, of Chambersburg (19:00); Tammy Anderson, 32, of Hagerstown (19:35); Sue Baskwill, 43, of Greencastle (21:58); and Margaret Horioka, 51, of Williamsport (25:52).

The overall champs were Dave Berdan, 25, of Baltimore (15:18) and Elena Orlova, 36, of Russia (17:02).
