Art-inspired classes

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Penn State University and Franklin County Career and Technology Center will offer the following classes at Franklin County Career and Technology Center, 2463 Loop Road unless otherwise noted.

· Jewelry Making Basics with Cookie Davis - 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, today through July 27. $30.

· Caledonia Summer Arts with Carol Rinehart - 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, July 11 through 25. $50. Caledonia State Park pool parking lot.

Young artists' workshops

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Arts Centre will offer the following classes:

· Demystifying Digital Photography; half-day workshop, Saturday, July 8. $40; $25, members.

· Photography Beyond the Snapshot; 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays, July 20 to Aug. 17. $165; $130, members.

· Oil painting class with Ralph Basford; 6:30 to 9 p.m., dates to be announced. $165; $130 members.

Art camp

Washington County Arts Council is holding open enrollment for its Art Camp at Doub's Woods for ages 6 to 12 in a broad spectrum of media.

Week-long full-day sessions are available the weeks of Mondays, July 10, 17 and 24.

Kindergartners ages 5 and 6 will be offered a parallel program of half-day camp the weeks of July 10 and 17. Space is limited.
