A free diabetes education event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at Kmart, 1713 Massey Blvd., Hagerstown.
A pharmacist will be available to provide a free meter demonstration and discuss the advantages of glucose testing and proper meter usage; provide a free blood pressure check and discuss benefits of regular blood pressure monitoring; and provide a free medication review and answer any questions on prescription and over-the-counter therapy. Free diabetic samples, brochures and coupons also will be provided.
