ST. THOMAS, PA. - A man and woman were apprehended Monday by Pennsylvania State Police, the same day troopers allege the pair stole $2,342 of OxyContin and Percocet in an armed robbery at the Modnur Inc. Pharmacy at 4495 Lincoln Way West.

Kathy Jo McFadden, 34, of 208 W. High St. in Hancock, was charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery and theft, with charging documents indicating she acted as an accomplice to Marty William Maness, 43, of Thompson Road in Needmore, Pa.

Maness was charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault, theft and reckless endangerment. He was being held Thursday night in Franklin County (Pa.) Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.

McFadden was released on $50,000 unsecured bail, following arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Duane Cunningham in Greencastle, Pa.

A woman entered the pharmacy and surveyed the interior around noon, police allege in charging documents. A man, wearing a dark-colored mask, pointed a handgun at a man and demanded OxyContin and Percocet, police said.

A witness reported seeing the pair leave in a red station wagon, police said.

State police from the McConnellsburg, Pa., barrack stopped a vehicle with that description on U.S. 522 in Fulton County and questioned the occupants. The vehicle was sent to the Chambersburg barrack for a search, which yielded a handgun, mask, pills and pill bottles, police said.

"The Modnur Pharmacy identification sticker was present on some of the tablet bottles received," police wrote in the affidavit of probable cause.

Both McFadden and Maness have preliminary hearings scheduled for July 3 in Franklin County Court.
