Myers returns to HCC as director of athletics

Robert "Bo" Myers is returning to Hagerstown Community College.

Myers has been chosen to become HCC's director of athletics and leisure studies, beginning July 17, according to an e-mail sent to The Herald-Mail on Wednesday.

Myers was a faculty member and the department chair of health and physical education at HCC from 1979 to 1988. He also coached the Hawks' track and field team.

Since 1990, Myers has worked for Washington County Public Schools in various roles, most recently as the executive director of secondary school administration.

Myers will replace interim athletic director Jason Weddle, who has accepted the postion of assistant athletic director, according to the e-mail. Weddle will remain part of the faculty and the school's athletic trainer.
