Hagerstown man charged following stabbing in W.Va.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - A 34-year-old Martinsburg, W.Va., man who suffered a punctured lung and several stab wounds was in stable condition at Washington County Hospital following an alleged domestic dispute late Saturday.

Berkeley County Sheriff's deputies would not identify the victim but said Robert W. Brunner Jr., 33, of Hagerstown, has been charged with malicious wounding.

The fight allegedly started around 10 p.m. Saturday. Deputies said they were not called to the home off Broad Lane until after 9 a.m. Sunday.

Deputies, who were continuing to investigate the incident, said the man was stabbed three times in the back.
