Man faces robbery, assault charges

A Hagerstown man was charged early Saturday following a report of an armed robbery on North Walnut Street, according to a press release from the Hagerstown Police Department.

Reginald Duvall Daniels, 39, of 527 Washington Ave., Apt. 1, was charged with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft, according to the release.

Police responded to a report of armed robbery at 1:50 a.m. in which the victim told police he was robbed of cash by a man wielding a box-cutting knife, according to the release.

Police detained Daniels in the 100 block of North Burhans Boulevard, and found a box-cutting knife in his possession, according to the release.
