Elizabeth J. Frey

MYERSVILLE, Md. - Elizabeth Jesukiewicz Frey was installed as president of the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association at its annual President's Dinner at the Center Club in Baltimore.

Frey, of Myersville, is a trial attorney and registered nurse with the law firm of Jack H. Olender & Associates P.C., where she handles catastrophic medical malpractice and personal injury cases.

She has served on MTLA's Executive and Legislative committees, and is past chairwoman of its New Lawyers, Membership Services, and Education and Program committees.

Frey graduated with honors from York Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania, where she received her diploma as a registered nurse.

She received an honors undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She has practiced in four East Coast hospitals.

She received her law degree at the University of Baltimore Law School.

Lloyd Martz, an employee of Mace Auto Body Shop, recently celebrated his 15th year with the company.

ekm Inspirations

Norine Dagliano, NCRW, CPRW, owner of ekm Inspirations, has completed the evaluation process to earn the nationally certified rsum writer (NCRW) designation. She is one of 22 career services professionals in the country to hold this credential and the only NCRW in Maryland, according to a prepared release.

The certification work is administered by the National Rsum Writers Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in rsum writing.

In addition to the NCRW credential, Dagliano holds credentials as a certified professional rsum writer and certified federal rsum writer and coach.

Lee Downey

R. Lee Downey, of Century 21 M.G. Realty, was presented with the National Association of Realtors Distinguished Service Award by the PenMar Association of Realtors at its June luncheon.

The NAR Award is given for outstanding contributions and service to both the real estate industry and to an agent's community.

EXIT Realty Prosperity Group

FREDERICK, Md. - Bill Pritchard has joined the Frederick office of EXIT Realty Prosperity Group.

Pritchard has worked with residential and investment properties as well as in new home sales.

He also has IT experience specializing in Internet buyers and sellers.

Laura Oates has been promoted to business development coordinator of Power Marketing & Advertising Inc. of Hagerstown.

Her responsibilities will include daily development and administration of new business, management of an organization-wide workflow system, coordination of client's new communities and graphic/Web design.

Oates earned a degree in graphic design from Shepherd University. She has seven years of experience in the graphic design industry, as well as 1 1/2 years experience in the new home marketing industry.

Jeanette Lespect has been hired as office manager.

She will oversee all office procedures, media placement, accounting, purchasing, maintaining office records and conducting research.

Lespect has a bachelor's degree from the University of Bordeaux in France. In addition to extensive experience in administration in a variety of industries and nonprofit organizations, she served as a business language instructor for more than seven years in international corporations and at universities.

RCI

Ray Riffey, Correctional Officer II on the 3-11 shift at Roxbury Correctional Institution south of Hagerstown, has been named Employee of the Month for June.

Riffey is a dependable employee who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that all aspects of his duties are dealt with in a timely manner and correctly the first time, according to a prepared release.

In addition to his normal duties, he is a field training officer and plays an important role in training new employees. He is instrumental in providing a safe environment for staff and inmates by conducting thorough searches.

Ferris, Baker Watts

Brendan D. Fitzsimmons has been named a senior vice president - investments at Ferris, Baker Watts Inc.

Fitzsimmons also serves as branch manager for the Hagerstown office of Ferris, Baker Watts.

He joined Ferris, Baker Watts in 1999 and was promoted to vice president - investments in 2002.

Fitzsimmons, of Williamsport, is a registered investment adviser representative and is licensed as a life and health insurance agent.

Weichert, Realtors - American Realty

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Weichert, Realtors - American Realty Inc. was represented by broker Machelle Lewis and Amanda Lewis at the second national convention of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Inc.

The convention was held May 17-19 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville.

Other members of the staff and sales team also attended, along with representatives from the franchise organization's approximately 240 signed offices.

In keeping with the national group's steady move westward from its beginnings on the East Coast, the theme of the three-day event was The Next Frontier.
