Quincy, PHI boards OK affiliation

June 25, 2006

CAMP HILL, Pa. - PHI and Quincy Retirement Community announced last week that both boards have approved an affiliation agreement that will combine two of central Pennsylvania's leading faith-based providers of health care, housing and related services to seniors.

Under the agreement, Quincy Retirement Community will become one of PHI's subsidiary corporations.

Founded in 1927 and based in Camp Hill, the not-for-profit PHI network provides housing and health-care services to approximately 3,500 older adults in 18 locations within the mid-Atlantic area of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Ohio.

Quincy Retirement Community was chartered in 1903 as a ministry of the United Methodist Church.

It employs more than 210 full-time and part-time employees and offers a full continuum of care to more than 420 residents.

Under the affiliation agreement, the Quincy Board leadership will retain a strong local structure and a management team focused on the current and future needs of residents, a release says.
