Maugansville Ruritan yard sale Saturday

Don't forget the Ruritan Yard Sale being held Saturday, June 17, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors can set up on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. For table space or more information, call 301-582-4600.

Food and beverages will also be sold at this event.

The Maugansville Elementary School PTA, students and staff would like to thank the following businesses for their donations to the Spring 2006 Book Fair. Each child received a free book thanks to your donations:

Cunningham Plumbing and Heating, Dwight Guyton State Farm Insurance, Shawley's Superior LP Gas, First National Bank of Greencastle Maugans Avenue, Hagerstown Trust Maugans Avenue, Susquehanna Bank, Maugansville Ruritan Club, Sons and Daughters of Italy Dan DiMucci Lodge. Without your support, the Book Fair would not have been a success.


Bible School

The St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown will hold its Gospel Express Vacation Bible School on June 25-29, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Join them as a Pre-School through Sixth Grade Rail Rider for Box Car Bible Stories, Clickety-Clack Cinema and Snacks, Train Games, Caboose Crafts, Train Tunes and a trainload of faith and fun while making new friends!

There also will be a family picnic with trolley rides on Friday, June 30.
