Madeo, of Boonsboro, is human resources manager at Good Humor-Breyer's Ice Cream. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in management from Webster University. An active member of the Cumberland Valley Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Managers, Madeo has a lifetime certification as a Senior Human Resource Professional.
"The EDC's new executive officers will continue to provide strong leadership and oversight to the commission's responsibilities," said Timothy R. Troxell, EDC executive director. "With their help, the EDC will build upon its past successes and continue its focus on the recruitment and retention of quality, well-paying jobs for the citizens of Washington County."
The Washington County Commissioners have approved the reappointment of Noel C. Williams of Fujicolor Processing Inc. to a second three-year term. Williams serves as an at-large representative.
J. D. Rinehart of Rinehart Orchards has been re-appointed to the board as a municipality representative. The 2007 fiscal year will complete Rinehart's six-year term.
The Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission is a county agency that provides assistance to new and expanding businesses throughout Hagerstown and Washington County. The EDC interacts with a network of public, private and nonprofit organizations to address the business needs of the community, as well as attract new companies to the county.
Other members of the board of directors currently serving include Gary Davis; Robert E. Ernst II; James P. Hamill; Roger W. Johnston; and Dana Moylan. Ex-officio members include Deborah Everhart; Robert Garver; Richard W. Phoebus Sr., James Kercheval; William J. Wivell; and Robert E. Bruchey.
