The 38th annual Used Book Sale, sponsored by the Hagerstown Branch of the American Association of University Women, was a huge success.

At a recent meeting of the book sale committee, money was allocated to the local AAUW Scholarship Fund, the Washington County Library and the Western Maryland Room of the library, the national AAUW Educational Foundation and Legal Aid Fund, Math Counts, and the Maryland Symphony Orchestra family concerts

AAUW extends special thanks to the following who helped make the sale such a success: Todd Bowman Sales & Equipment; Todd Snook, former owner of Valley Storage; the prisoners of MCTC; Boonsboro/Rohrersville firefighters; Washington County Detention Center; Martin's Markets; Weis Markets; students of Washington County high schools; Boonsboro High School Honor Society; Norman at the Ag Center; and Eric Deike, Public Works Department.

Thanks also to all who donated books.

AAUW's Fall Book Sale will be held Nov. 2, 3, and 4, at the E.J. Fennel Building, 324 East Antietam St., Hagerstown.
