GREENCASTLE, Pa. - The Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation kicked off its first fundraising campaign of the year with the announcement of its Buy a Brick Campaign.
The foundation is selling engraved bricks in several sizes to raise funds to support scholarships and educational programming in the community. The bricks will be placed in either the Legacy Walkway that will encircle the track at Kaley Field at the G-A High School complex or in the concession stand area. To have a brick placed in the Legacy Walkway, the brick must reflect a current graduate or alumni of the Greencastle-Antrim High School. For those who are not graduates of GAHS but want to place an engraved brick at Kaley Field, an area by the concession stand has been designated.
The Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation expects the "Buy a Brick" Campaign to raise $50,000 to support scholarship programs and other education initiatives in the G-A community. A 4-inch by 8-inch paver brick that can be engraved with up to three lines is selling for $100. Larger sizes that can accommodate more engraving and custom business logos are also available. Brick placement will be random on both the Legacy Walkway and in the concession stand area.
