Due to a source's error, the obituary in Tuesday's Morning Herald for P. Lynn Miller omitted information.

The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate at the memorial service Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsport.

Along with his giving and caring personality, he designated himself as an organ donor.




Frances L. Moyer, 79

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Frances Louise Flora Moyer, 79, of Brunswick, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick, Md.

Born March 11, 1927, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Lucille Payne Anders.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carroll E. Flora Sr. and Lester L. Moyer.

She retired from the YMCA in Brunswick as a cashier.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brunswick.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Sivic of Frostburg, Md., and Dixie Lipscomb of Brunswick; two sons, Carroll E. Flora Jr. of Vernon, Ariz., and L. Frank Flora of Westminster, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Anders.

Services will be private. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick, which will open at 9 a.m.

Glenn B. DeLauter, 80

FOXVILLE, Md. - Mr. Glenn Blickenstaff "G.B." DeLauter, 80, of Foxville, died Monday, June 5, at Julia Manor Nursing Center, Hagerstown. He was the husband of Vera Lorraine Jones DeLauter, whom he married June 21, 1949.

Born Nov. 20, 1925, in Foxville, he was a son of the late Glenn Leon and Daisy Blickenstaff DeLauter.

Mr. DeLauter attended Deerfield United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime farmer and drove a Frederick County (Md.) school bus for more than 45 years. He was a member of the Farmers Co-op.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Martha DeLauter of Cascade; four grandchildren, Robert L. DeLauter and wife, Rebecca, of New Market, Md., April K. DeLauter of Rising Sun, Md., Adam K. DeLauter and wife, Beth, of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Steven Keith Forrest of Cascade; six great-grandchildren, Matthew DeLauter, Anthony Forrest, Leigh-Anne Hardiman, Carson A. DeLauter, Gavin DeLauter and Devin DeLauter; a sister, Kathleen Zeigler of Foxville; and two brothers, Kenneth DeLauter of Zullinger, Pa., and Paul DeLauter of Foxville. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Glenn "Bobby" DeLauter; a brother, Howard L. DeLauter; and three sisters, Minnie Sharkey, Virginia Fenby and Mary Crane.

Mr. DeLauter is at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Home P.A., 615 E. Main St., Thurmont, Md., where friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 9. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wolfsville, Md.




Ralph S. Byers, 78


NOV. 4, 1927-JUNE 5, 2006

BOONSBORO - Ralph Sigmund Byers, 78, of 8507 Mapleville Road, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at Fahrney-Keedy Home near Boonsboro.

Born Nov. 4, 1927, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Ralph Steinman Byers and Mabel Sigmund Byers Forsythe.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Margaret Ashby Burkett Byers, in 1999.

He was a 1947 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

He retired from the State of Maryland Sales Tax Division in Baltimore.

He was a former member of the Maryland National Guard.

He was a member of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Sarah Dayhoff of Hagerstown; three stepsons, James Burkett, Kenneth Burkett and Richard Burkett, all of Greencastle, Pa.; two brothers, Robert M. Byers of Walkersville, Md., and Roy J. Byers of Hagerstown; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. The Rev. Robert G. Brennan Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.




Susan M. Puffinberger, 50


JAN. 25, 1956-JUNE 5, 2006

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Susan Marie Puffinberger, 50, of Hedgesville, died Monday, June 5, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident.

Born Jan. 25, 1956, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., she was the daughter of Louise Demagall Dolan of Charles Town, W.Va., and the late John Joseph Dolan.

She was a former registered nurse's assistant.

She was a Catholic.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Carl Puffinberger; two sons, Ernie Mills and Michael Mills, both of Hedgesville; and two sisters, Bernice A. Dinterman of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Sandra M. Marx of Hagerstown.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Michael and Kim R. Dolan.
