Man pleads guilty to firearms possession

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Morgan County, W.Va., man pleaded guilty Thursday in United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia to being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.

Daniel Burtine Snyder, 69, of 995 Gambell Road in Morgan County, was accused of possessing firearm March 2, said Rita R. Valdrini, acting United States Attorney.

Snyder was free on bond pending sentencing, officials said. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
