The 2006 Summer Food Service Program will operate at nine open sites and one enrolled site, according to a press release from the Food & Nutrition Services Office of Washington County Public Schools.
Free meals will be available to all children regardless of income who participate in the program at the following locations:
- Eastern, Fountaindale, Lincolnshire and Salem Avenue elementary schools from June 19 through July 13.
- E. Russell Hicks, Northern, Springfield and Western Heights middle schools from June 19 through July 20.
- North Hagerstown High School from June 19 through Aug. 10.
The enrolled site will be Hancock Middle/Senior High School from June 19 through July 20.
To be eligible, children must meet the income guidelines for reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program. Children who are part of households that receive food stamps or benefits under Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) automatically are eligible to receive free meals.
