Christian art workshop set

WILLIAMSPORT - A workshop designed to bring the fine arts back into churches as a form of worship will be held Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Faith Christian Fellowship, 16726 Lappans Road. The workshop will be led by Jennifer Goss, a missionary serving in South Africa. A $20 fee includes lunch. Call 301-582-9755.

Auditions for 'The Anvil'

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Auditions for "The Anvil," a dramatic two-act play based on the treason trial of the abolitionist John Brown will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, and Sunday, June 11, at Harpers Ferry Junior High School. There are 21 male roles and two women's roles. Performances will be Aug. 11, 12 and 13, Aug. 25, 26 and 27, Sept. 22, 23 and 24. For information, call 1-304-535-2476.

Council solicits grant apps

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Council for the Arts announces its 10th year of making grants available in Adams, Franklin, Fulton and portions of Cumberland counties.

Groups and individuals may request up to $3,000 for arts and cultural activities occurring between Sept. 1, 2006 and Aug. 31, 2007. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to attend a grant workshop:
