Martin has appeared as an actor and/or director in many Washington area productions, including numerous shows in Frederick. She has a B.S. in writing for television, radio and film from Syracuse University, and is pursuing a Masters through the education department at Towson University.

Previous productions directed by Martin include "Miracle Worker" for Beneath My Wings, "Snoopy! The Musical" and "Sylvia" for Maryland Ensemble Theatre, "The Fantasticks" for SAB Productions, and "Personals" for MET-x. This summer she will be featured in the independent film "Flinch".

With Way Off Broadway's Actors' Studio, Martin has been teaching classes designed to focus on theatre techniques and acting through specific acting exercises and theatre training games. In addition to her role as an instructor at Way Off Broadway, Martin is also directing this summer's production of "Fiddler on the Roof."
