The Keefers

Glenn and Mildred (Secrest) Keefer of Clear Spring celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Antrim House Restaurant in Greencastle, Pa. The event was hosted by their children and spouses, Glenda and Tom Drury of Hagerstown, Robin and Earl Socks of Clear Spring, Donna and Dennis Hare of Falling Waters, W.Va., Karen and James Sowers of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Shawn Keefer of Shippensburg, Pa.

The Keefers were married March 24, 1956, at St. Paul's Church near Clear Spring by the Rev. J. Wade Hoffman, now deceased.

Mrs. Keefer is the daughter of the late Daniel and B. Marie Secrest. She is retired.

Mr. Keefer is the son of the late Aaron and Missouri Keefer. He is employed with Callas Contractors.

In addition to their five children, they have nine grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

The Faiths

Joe and Helen Faith of Clear Spring celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the Log Cabin Inn near Hancock. The event was hosted by their children and spouses, Yvonne and Norris Belt and Jolene and Gray Hebb. Mrs. Faith's 87-year-old mother, Helen Robinson, was among those attending the celebration.


The Faiths were married April 8, 1956, at Mount Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairview by the Rev. Stanley Whitson. They still attend that church.

Mrs. Faith retired from Corning Inc. in Greencastle, Pa., after 30 years of service.

Mr. Faith retired from the Maryland Correctional Training Center. He also worked at Fairchild and served in the U.S. Army.

They have three granddaughters.

The Howells

George and Blanche Howell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, March 4, 2006, with their daughter, Wanda, her husband Vince and their two children.

The Howells were married March 4, 1946, at Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown.
