Ashley Reeder, daughter of Ted and Sandy Reeder, graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications with concentrations in both advertising and public relations, and earning a Marketing Certificate.

Reeder attended George Mason University for one semester as a freshman, then transferred to Towson in January 2003. She has garnered many achievements and awards, some of which follow:

Initiated member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (spring 2004)

Intern at Barb Clapp Advertising and Marketing, LLC (spring 2006)

She has accepted a full-time position with Barb Clapp Advertising and Marketing, LLC in Lutherville, Md., as an Account Executive, and will begin her professional career there in this summer.

Angela Killian of Frederick, Md., was awarded a B.A. degree in criminal justice during Saint Leo University's commencement ceremonies May 6 in Saint Leo, Fla.

Karen V. Courter, daughter of the Rev. Doug and Barb Courter of Clear Spring, graduated magna cum laude from Grace College & Seminary, Winona Lake, Ind., on May 6 with a B.A. in biblical studies.

Courter was a member of Alpha Chi National Honor Society and was the recipient of the 2006 Biblical Studies Department Award.

Evan Phoebus of Frederick, Md., was named to the Dean's List at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio for the 2005-06 winter quarter.

Rebecca Jefferies has been named to the Dean's List at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. Jefferies, who just finished her sophomore year at JMU, is majoring in business and marketing.

The daughter of Mary Fran and Chris Jefferies of Hagerstown, she is a 2004 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

Allan Wagaman, son of Charles and Mary Wagaman of Hagerstown, graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday, May 13, with dual degrees in political science and public policy.

While at St. Mary's, he was a St. Mary's Scholar, served as Student Government treasurer and was of member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha.

After working this summer as a conference assistant at the college, he has been appointed to a position with the Naval Air System Command Headquarters at Patuxent River as a Budget Analyst Intern. He is a 2002 graduate of St. James School.

Thompson Institute-Chambersburg (Pa.) Campus, held its graduation ceremony at Chambersburg Area Middle School on May 12.

Medical Assisting graduate Vanessa Pine and Office Systems Technology graduate Barbara Carbaugh spoke on behalf of the graduating class.

Electrician student Todd Foltz, of Fayetteville, Pa.; Medical Billing and Coding Specialist student Deborah Miller, of Chambersburg; Medical Assisting graduate Jaime Wease of Zullinger, Pa.; and Office Systems Technology graduate Jody Burdge, of Shippensburg; were presented with the Director's Award. This award is based on nominations from the faculty and staff for students who exemplify outstanding leadership, motivation, citizenship, attitude, compliance with school policies and regulations, academic performance, attendance, and who serve as role models for fellow students.

Allison Daywalt, Timothy Egolf and Richard Rose were recognized for maintaining perfect attendance throughout their entire course of study.

Graduates with highest honors, summa cum laude, for maintaining a 3.9 to 4.0 GPA throughout their program of study were: Jody Burdge, Barbara Carbaugh, Timothy Egolf, Todd Foltz, Deborah Miller, Boyd O'Hara and Brent Stultz.
