Summer science camp for girls offered at Wilson

May 29, 2006

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Wilson College invites girls who have completed grades seven through nine to participate in the 2006 Summer Science Institute for Girls, where they will discover and explore the fields of physiology, biochemistry and analytical chemistry.

This year's science institute will be held Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, on the Wilson campus.

The weeklong residential camp, now in its fifth year at Wilson, allows girls with an interest in science to experience hands-on learning - with an emphasis this year on physiological systems and responses.

For more information or to obtain application materials, contact Wilson College Associate Professor of Biology Dana Harriger, who also serves as director of the science institute, at 717-264-4141, ext. 3275, or via email at dharriger@wilson.edu.
