Blue Devils boys 400 relay team gets third at PIAA Championships

Susan Graham-Gray, representing the Cumberland Valley Athletic Club, was the third women's finisher in 1 hour, 19 minutes, 16 seconds, earning $1,000.

Brad Sponaugle took 17th overall and first in the men's 25-29 age group in 1:18:72, while Mike FitzGerald finished 43rd overall and first in the 50-54 age group in 1:25:31. Both men won $75 for finishing first in their respective age groups.

Miller wins Shootout

Jeremy Miller sped to victory on Friday night in Leg 1 of the Winchester/Hagerstown Shootout, postponed from April 14.

Miller, of Littlestown, Pa., became the first repeat winner in the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass late models after winning two of the past three events. He charged past Gary Stuhler following a restart on lap 23 and never looked back. He collected $3,000.


Pete Weaver, of Williamsport, drove away from Scott Palmer by more than two seconds to score his second win in the past three Hoosier Tire/Mid Atlantic late model sportsman events. Charlie Pensinger, of Shippensburg, Pa., pulled away to lead the final 14 laps of the 30-lap Enduro Dash, postponed from April 8.
