The following recalls have been announced:

About 18,400 sling swing seats, imported by Rainbow Play Systems Inc., because the seats can break in half and users can fall. The company has received 84 reports of broken swing seats and one report of an injury.

The underside of the seats reads, "Warning. Improper installation, maintenance, vandalism, or misuse can lead to serious injury." They were sold as part of Carnival, Sunshine and Rainbow series swing set structures, also made by Rainbow Play Systems. The swing sets were sold at Rainbow dealers and distributors nationwide from July 2004 through February 2005.

About 6,700 Ameristep Patriot and Outfitter hang-on tree stands, made by Primal Vantage Company Inc., because the J-hook can fail and cause the stand to collapse. There have been three reports of the J-hooks failing and no reports of injury.

The stands, which strap on to trees and are supported by a J-hook mechanism, have model numbers 7300 or 7310 printed on the packaging. They were sold at hunting and outdoor retailers nationwide from April 2004 until December 2005.

About 133,000 packages of six outdoor candles, manufactured by IKEA Home Furnishings, because the wax can ignite and start a fire.

The company has received 16 reports of incidents involving the candles flaring, seven of which involved minor burn injuries.

The ANGAR and SAMLAS model outdoor candles were sold in packages of six and have white wax and a thick, square wick made of brown fiberboard. The company sold the candles at IKEA stores nationwide from February 2001 until July 2005.

1,368 12-ounce packages of R.L. Schreiber Inc. beef gravy mix, because it might contain undeclared soy and milk ingredients. People with allergies or sensitivity to soy or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product. No illnesses have been reported. The mix was distributed through food-service distributors in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and other states.

The mix is in a white plastic bag labeled R.L. Schreiber Inc. Beef Gravy Mix Bar Code 1270 and is marked with lot code number E04A1.

Food-service users should return the recalled mix to their distributor.
