May 26, 2006

The daughter of a local man received a drama award during a ceremony for students of a boarding school in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Kathleen Vanderau, the daughter of Douglas Vanderau of Hagerstown and Harriet Vanderau of Scotland, Pa., received the Louise Loucks Moore and W. Carver Collins Drama Award during Wyoming Seminary's Awards Assembly.

The award is presented to members of the junior or senior class who have done the most to promote and enhance the school's program in the dramatic arts, with special consideration given to those who work behind the scenes.

Wyoming Seminary, an independent, co-educational day and boarding college preparatory school, enrolls more than 440 students in grades nine through 12, as well as a postgraduate year.
