Suns pick off 'Claws

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Joe Holden did all the legworkm while Nick Evans drove in two late runs at the Hagerstown Suns notched a 4-2 win over Lakewood on Monday to earn a split in the four-game series.

Holden drove in Hagerstown's first run with a bases-loaded walk in the second and scored on Evans' single in the seventh and sacrifice fly in the ninth.

Eric Brown (2-1) allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings to earn the victory. He allowed two hits and walked four while striking out four.

Kevin Tomasiewicz retired all eight men he faced - three on strikeouts - and Marcelo Perez earned his fourth save, despite allowing a run in the ninth.
