May 22, 2006

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Shepherd University has received full accreditation for the master of arts degree in college student development and administration from the Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the school announced last week.

The accreditation comes after almost three years of development at Shepherd to provide a program for individuals interested in positions in the areas of student affairs and enrollment management at two- and four-year institutions, according to a news release.

The program will begin this fall. Courses will be offered in the evenings to meet the needs of working professionals.

The master of arts degree in college student development and administration is Shepherd's fourth master's degree.
