He was vice president of Manbeck Bread Co., and later president of Burger Castle of Maryland. He also was president of Beaver Incorporated. For the last 20 years, he was general manager of the food service division of M.S. Johnston Co.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Deborah L. Beaver; one son, Matthew S. Beaver of The Netherlands; three daughters, Jill B. Will of Hagerstown, Jacqueline B. Musall of Augusta, Ga., and Cameron D. Beaver of Hagerstown; three sisters, Ruth E. Beaver of Blairsville, Ga., Patricia A. Grossnickle of Hagerstown, and Barbara E. Kennedy of Clayton, Ga.; two brothers, Park O. Beaver Jr. of Hilton Head, S.C., and Donald A. Beaver of Hagerstown; and seven grandchildren, Wilson, Thomas, Mary Dare, Benjamin, Hannah, Bennett and Susannah.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at 11 a.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, with the Rev. L. Patrick Ricker and the Rev. Dean M. Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.

Interment will be private with the family in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Brenda Kaye Tinsman, 55, of Hedgesville, died Friday, May 19, 2006, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born July 17, 1950, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Everhart.

She was an investigator for Citicorp in Hagerstown.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas P. Tinsman; one daughter, Jennifer T. Stratton of Hedgesville; two sons, Patrick Bogden of Charles Town, W.Va., and Matthew R. Tinsman of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one sister, Carol Van Pelt of Inwood, W.Va.; two grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Pastor Don Cherry will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Stella Mordesovitch, 88, of 13504 Greencastle Pike in Hagerstown, died Friday, May 19, 2006, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born April 15, 1918, in Vista, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Amelia Marince Huday.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Mordesovitch, in 1994.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She was a member of Mack Bulldogs Auxiliary.

She is survived by one sister, Ann Gorick of Aurora, Ohio; three grandchildren, Wayne Lewis Jr. of Pasadena, Md., Michelle Wood of Severn, Md., and Tim Hafer of Hagerstown; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Stephanie Lewis and Stannie Hafer; and two sisters, Helen Wadsworth and Mary Michalaras.

Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Virgie E. Cain, 86, of Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, died Friday, May 19, 2006, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.

Born March 17, 1920, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Thorton and Leathie L. Hull Shoemaker.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Smith, in 1967; and her second husband, Marvin Cain, in 1987.

She had been a seamstress for the former Jacobs Brothers in Hancock.

She was a member of Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren in Hancock.

She is survived by two sons, James R. McFadden of Berkeley Springs, and Randy T. Smith of Chambersburg, Pa.; one brother, David F. Shoemaker of Berkeley Springs; one granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira Shoemaker and Floyd T. Shoemaker.

A service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren, Hancock. The Rev. Paul A. Martin and the Rev. Harry E. Strite will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. The funeral home will open Monday at 2 p.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Denise Thomas, 44, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at City Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1961, in Portland, Maine.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Thomas; and three children, Nannette Thomas, Rebekah Thomas and David Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, Martinsburg. Pastor Jerry L. Sipe will officiate.
