Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Sales professional Terry Gontz has joined Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA's Chambersburg office.

He will assist his wife, Darlene Gontz, who is a full-time Realtor.

Terry Gontz is licensed to sell all types of real estate in Pennsylvania.

Cory Emery has joined the Waynesboro, Pa., office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA as a sales professional.

He is licensed to list and sell all types of real estate in Pennsylvania.

Also in the Waynesboro office, Ernie Brockmann has earned the designation of GRI, Graduate of the Realtor Institute.

Partners in Pediatrics

Bruce E. Weneck, M.D., recently attended a cardiac/pulmonary update seminar for primary care physicians.

The seminar provided an update on respiratory and cardiovascular problems, with special emphasis on managing asthma.

Preston Fouke, Jeanne Pino, and Florence Taylor-Block, sales associates with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, have qualified to join the Coldwell Banker International President's Circle.

Membership is limited to the top 7 percent of the more than 126,000 sales associates worldwide in the Coldwell Banker system.

Mackintosh Inc.

FREDERICK, Md. - Betsy Weisgerber, of Frederick County, Md., recently joined the residential sales team at Mackintosh Inc., Realtors' Frederick office.

She is a member of the Frederick County Association of Realtors.

St. Lawrence Cement

Several staff moves have occurred at St. Lawrence Cement's Hagerstown plant.

Gina Leyte of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, joined SLC recently after obtaining her industrial engineering degree from the University of Texas.

Starting in the Yard Department are Jeff Fox, Mike French and Bruce Jackson, all of Hagerstown, and Eric Sigel of Falling Waters, W.Va. Jackson is training to be a process assistant and Sigel has completed training for a bulk loader relief position.

Mike Stoner has been promoted to shift foreman - production supervisor. He began working for SLC in 1986 as a laborer and moved to repairman/control room operator in 1997.

Charles E. Ganley

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Charles E. Ganley Esq., of the Law Offices of Charles E. Ganley LLC, who serves as faculty for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, spoke on the subject of employment law ethics at PBI's Employment Law Institute conference in Philadelphia on April 27.

More than 500 attorneys from Pennsylvania and out of state attended the two-day institute.

Ganley has offices in Waynesboro and McConnellsburg, Pa.

M&T Bank

M&T Bank has appointed Daniel Cannaday as relationship manager in the mid-Atlantic region.

Cannaday will be responsible for developing and managing automotive, RV and marine commercial relationships in Western Maryland, including Carroll, Frederick, Washington, Allegany and Garrett counties, the Baltimore metro area and all of the counties on the Eastern Shore.

Cannaday previously worked for J.P. Morgan Chase, as a relationship manager in the automotive finance division and Ford Motor Credit/PRIMUS in branch and sales positions.

Beaver Mechanical Contractors Inc.

Beaver Mechanical Contractors Inc. announced that Barbara K. Hoover was promoted to the office of vice president.

A 35-year employee at Beaver Mechanical, Hoover also was elected to the board of directors and will serve a dual role as vice president and corporate secretary.

She began working at Beaver Mechanical Contractors in 1971.

Her appointment follows a recent corporate restructuring. Timothy W. Bryan was appointed president and James C. Bryan was appointed chief executive officer.

Sagittarius Salon

Kelly Cauffman, Heather Hoffman, Heather Younkin and Megan Myers of Sagittarius Salon recently upgraded their skills at the Redken Exchange in New York City.

They learned advanced techniques in hair design and hair color from experts in the salon industry.

Jordon Knicley, vice president and makeup artist of Sagittarius Salon, completed advanced makeup classes with the professionals of MAC Cosmetics and celebrity makeup artist Pamela Taylor in New York City. She also had a class with Damone Roberts, from Beverly Hills, Calif., on the sculpting of perfect eyebrows.

Mercersburg Academy

MERCERSBURG, PA. - Roy Peck, who has been employed at Mercersburg Academy for 50 years, was recognized by Head of School Douglas Hale at a reception in the Ford Dining Hall on the school's campus on May 4.

Peck began his employment at Mercersburg as a groundsman and later worked as a "fire man," shoveling coal into the school's boiler.

He now is the academy's senior power plant operator.
