Suns lose two

May 17, 2006

EASTLAKE, Ohio - P.J. Hiser had been waiting for a long time to play.

He proved it Tuesday.

The South Hagerstown graduate hit a three-run home run in the opener and drove in the tying run in the nightcap to lead Lake County to a 6-2, 10-1 doubleheader sweep of the Hagerstown Suns.

Hiser, who had been on the disabled list for nearly a month until last Friday, hit his three-run homer in the first as the Captains scored all six of its runs.

In the nightcap, Hiser's RBI single in the first tied the game at 1-1 and started a five-run rally for the Captains.

The Suns dropped their sixth straight game.

Jeff Landing, who pitched well in four other outings against Lake County, took the loss in the nightcap.
