Correctional officers complete training course

FREDERICK, Md. - Five Washington County Detention Center employees graduated from an eight-week training course Friday, along with five others from Carroll and Frederick counties.

The Correction Bureau Criminal Justice Academy graduates received training in first aid, CPR, legal aspects of corrections, defensive tactics, physical training, extremist in corrections, exposure to chemical agents, inmate transportation and survival awareness, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.

The graduation ceremony took place Friday afternoon at Frederick Community College.

The graduates from the Washington County Detention Center were Robert Harris, Christopher Michael, Brandon Physioc, Francis Vincent and Ray Younker.
