Humane Society volunteer orientation

The Humane Society of Washington County will conduct an orientation for potential volunteers from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13. There are opportunities for volunteers to walk and bathe dogs, socialize cats, clean animal housing units, serve customers and help with laundry and dishes, as well as to provide foster care for special-needs animals.

Volunteers are asked to commit to four hours a month for six months. Current openings are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A qualified adult must accompany young people between the ages of 12 and 15.
