Brad Schaeffer had three goals and six assists in the first half as Smithsburg cruised to an 18-1 boys lacrosse victory over North Hagerstown in the final regular season game for both teams.
"If we have the ball, it is pretty much 100 percent guaranteed that we are going to finish," Schaeffer said. "We have a lot of offensive threats. Anybody can have a high-scoring game at any time."
Kevan Schellenberg collected three goals and two assists, while Craig Hoban chipped in with two goals and three assists for the Leopards (10-3). Josh Hudson got two goals and one assist, while Mike Crunkleton and Brendan Roberts added two goals each.
The Leopards play host to Brunswick tonight at 6:45 in the first round of the Maryland Class 2A-1A West playoffs. North Hagerstown (1-11) plays at Poolesville tonight at 6.
