The Jefferson County pull features seven classes, including 8,050-pound hot stock diesel pickups. This is a new class this year, said MSPA President David Bush.
In a pull, the goal is to see which tractor or truck can pull a sled farthest. The sled has a box on top that shifts weight toward the tractor or truck as it pulls; this makes it harder to pull the sled.

WHAT: Mountain State Pullers Association's Truck and Tractor Pull
WHEN: 6 p.m. Saturday, May 13
WHERE: Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Jefferson County, W.Va.COST: $10 for adults; $5 for ages 8 to 12; free admission for ages 7 and younger. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance, starting around 4:30 p.m.
DIRECTIONS: From Hagerstown, take Interstate 81 south to exit 12 for Martinsburg, W.Va. Go east on W.Va. 9 for six miles to Kearneysville, W.Va. At the stop light by Sheetz, turn right on Leetown Road. Go through Leetown and turn left at the fabric shop. Go about 2 miles you will see a MSPA sign on the left. That is the entrance to the fairground.
