BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. ? Wayne Omps received the most votes for the Republican nomination for Morgan County Commission, according to complete but unofficial results from Tuesday's primary.
With all 13 precincts reporting, Omps topped a four-person field for the GOP bid. Omps, of Berkeley Springs, received 493 votes.
Carl Cowgill was second with 359 votes. Roger D. Steiner Sr. was next with 237 votes and Tricia L. Strader was fourth with 212 votes.
The winner of the GOP primary will run against Brenda J. Hutchinson, the unopposed Democratic candidate primary winner, in November. Hutchinson received 674 votes.
