GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. - Walter N. Mason, 76, of Gerrardstown, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at City Hospital.
Born Feb. 21, 1930, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles William and Clara Anna Mason.
He retired from C.H. Musselman.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Edith Mason; four sons, Scott Mason of Glengary, W.Va., and Walter Mason Jr., Donald Mason and Jeffrey Mason, all of Gerrardstown; one stepson, Tim Miller of Kearneysville, W.Va.; one sister, Hazel Puffinberger of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one brother, Mervin S. Mason of Martinsburg; one granddaughter; and four stepgrandsons.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl W. Mason, Paul L. Mason, Floyd E. Mason and Ralph L. Mason.
Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood, W.Va. The Rev. Dan Revell will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lois L. Schroeder, 72

PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Lois L. Schroeder, 72, of Port Richey, died Monday, May 8, 2006, at Orchard Ridge Rehab and Nursing Center in New Port Richey, Fla.
Born June 17, 1933, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William M. Lawson and Jane D. Dougherty Lawson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Schroeder, in 1986.
She was a social worker at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, retiring after more than 20 years.
She was a Protestant.
She was a member of National Social Workers Association.
She is survived by one aunt, Helen DeFay of Hudson, Fla.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Clear Spring.
Friends may visit the funeral home one hour prior to the services Friday.
Flara B. Price, 77

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Flara B. Price, 77, of Charles Town, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born Feb. 24, 1929, in Leetown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Edna Wharton Price.
She formerly was employed by Jefferson County Schools as a cafeteria worker.
She was a member of Charles Town Baptist Church.
She is survived by several nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wharton.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Wyman Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Vernon Wayne Pope, 52, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at INOVA Fairfax (Va.) Hospital.
Born Dec. 11, 1953, in Fort Knox, Ky., he was the son of Vernon Lee Pope and Mildred L. Hilbourn Pope of Virginia Beach, Va.
He attended Virginia Military Institute of Lexington, Va.
He worked as a meter reader for Allegheny Power.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Debra J. Knick Pope; one daughter, Allison Pope of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Jean Parker of Walton, Okla., Wanda Driscoll of Virginia Beach and Pam Pope of Powhatan, Va.; one brother, Edward Pope of Midlothian, Va.; nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, David Pope.
Memorial services will be today at 7 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg. William Flanagan will officiate.

Francis L. Myers, 55, of 1004 Brinker Drive, Unit 202, Hagerstown, and formerly of 13 Cambridge Lane, Chambersburg, Pa., died Sunday, May 7, 2006, near Pennsylvania Exit 3 of Interstate 81 from injuries received in an automobile and tractor-trailer accident.
Born Nov. 13, 1950, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Roy Lester and Mary Elizabeth Addlesberger Myers.
He was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1970. He later studied to become a Realtor.
He was employed as a Realtor for P.B. Services, Chambersburg.
