On Tuesday May 9, the Lions will hold their 84th Charter Night at the Grand Venice Inn. Invited guests and dignitaries will join members in celebrating the 83rd anniversary of the club's founding in 1923. There will be no meeting that day.
Yard sale
Hagerstown First Church Of God on Rose Hill Avenue will hold a yard sale on May 13 beginning at 8 a.m. at 839 Frederick St. All proceeds will go to missionary work.

South High 35th reunion
South Hagerstown High School's Class of 1971 will be celebrating its 35-year reunion on Saturday, July 22, at the Sheraton-Four Points on Dual Highway, Hagerstown. Consort to perform
The Washington County Museum Consort will present a performance entitled "Folksong Sampler" to complete its recital series for the season on Sunday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will include "Three Fantasias on Traditional English Songs" by Andrew Charlton (1928-1997); "My Sweetie," a Tyrolean folk song, "Henry, My Son," American; and "La Spagnola," traditional Spanish, arranged by Stan Davis, among others.

South High PTA
There will be a meeting on May 11 at 7 p.m. at South Hagerstown High School for all parents of current South High students and those who will entering South High in the fall. Come be a part of your child's education not only for today but for always. There will be meetings all summer long and our kids are never too old for us to be involved in their education. (Though they think they are!) Make sure you come to this important meeting so your know what' s happening in their life!
