Berkeley County schedules electronics recycling day

MARTINSBURG, W.Va.

The Berkeley County (W.Va.) Solid Waste Authority will sponsor an electronics recycling day on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its Grapevine Road recycling facility east of Martinsburg.

The center will accept electronics items including answering machines, camcorders, copiers, computers, printers, radios, telephones, stereo equipment and other items at no charge. The limit is 10 items per customer, and the event is reserved for county residents only.

Items such as vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, batteries, smoke detectors and appliances containing Freon will not be accepted.

A second electronics recycling day is scheduled for June 10.
