Hagerstown Imaging LLC will open for business on May 2 at 1150-A Professional Court.

Hagerstown Imaging is a state-of-the-art and the only PET/CT imaging center in Hagerstown and neighboring areas.

The center offers whole body PET/CT imaging for cancer patients as well as cardiac and brain PET imaging services.

The center is staffed by nationally recognized and experienced radiologists and technical staff experts.

Services are available Monday through Friday and all insurances are accepted. Scheduling can be made and reporting done within 24 hours.

Smith Elliott Kearns & Co. LLC was notified by the Center for Public Company Audit Firms Peer Review Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that it has successfully completed an independent peer review of its accounting and auditing practice.


The reviewers concluded that the firm complies with the quality-control standards established by the AICPA, the national professional organization of CPAs.

The peer review was conducted by the national firm of Cherry Bekaert & Holland under guidelines established by the AICPA. The reviewers made an independent assessment of the firm's quality-control policies and procedures and inspected the working papers and reports on a representative sample of accounting and auditing engagements. They also inspected administrative files and records and interviewed professional personnel.


Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education was cited in March as one of the top 25 providers of online courses by ed2go, a national supplier of online training. HCC ranked 21st out of 1,200 partners offering online classes.

HCC offers a variety of online classes for continuing education and academic credit, including new hybrid courses that provide students with a blend of online content and instructor-led activity. Each month, the continuing education area offers more than 100 online courses covering a variety of topics.


Allstate Agent Carole Keyser recently presented an Allstate Foundation Agency Hands in the Community grant in the amount of $500 to the Religious Effort to Assist and Care for the Homeless Inc. (REACH).

Keyser has volunteered for REACH since 1995, and supports its cold-weather shelter efforts.

The Allstate Foundation offers Agency Hands in the Community grants to recognize the outstanding efforts of qualified agents who volunteer in their communities. The grant will be used to further programs administered by REACH.
