The Potomac Garden Club held a spring flower show for its members on April 18 at Zion Lutheran Church in Williamsport.

The theme "Artistry in Flowers," was interpreted by 24 entries, all arranged by the women of the club.

The show was intended to inspire and bring enjoyment and knowledge through flower arranging with procedures for selecting and conditioning fresh plant materials, choosing the container, mechanics, and other components that make for a blue-ribbon winner.

Norma Sayles, first vice president of the club, was committee chairperson. She was assisted by Nancy Cowden, JoAnn Miller and Linda Harsh.

The clerks who assisted the flower show judges were Helen Myers, JoAnn Keller, Johanna Maravelis and Gloria Funkhouser.

The show ended with a luncheon followed by a business meeting.

The Potomac Garden Club on May 16 will tour the gardens of Willow Pond Farms in Fairfield Pa., followed by a herbal lunch. They will carpool from Zion Lutheran Church at 9:30 a.m.
