HCC lauded for online offerings

Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education was cited in March as one of the top 25 providers of online courses by ed2go, a national supplier of online training. HCC was ranked 21st out of 1,200 partners offering online classes.

"Online offerings from continuing education have become an important staple for the adult learner, as well as the corporate client," according to Jim Cannon, director of continuing education and extension services. "Through continuing education, we strive to constantly meet the learning and the lifestyle needs of today's adults to help them reach their potential."

HCC offers a variety of online classes for continuing education and academic credit, including new hybrid courses that provide students with a blend of online content and instructor-led activities.

Each month, the continuing education area offers more than 100 online courses covering a variety of topics.
